Two Writing Teachers Slice of Life March Challenge 2016
This March, more than 300 teachers have committed to daily writing. If you’d like to read more “slices” (from other teachers and even students), visit: twowritingteachers.wordpress.com/challenges.
For Poetry
Driving flooded streets,
windshield wipers whooshing,
Waiting on train platforms,
boots shushing in pouring rain,
umbrella fighting winds.
All to meet with poets,
drenched in line breaks,
sonnets, imagery,
talk of metaphor.
Refreshed, reverse.
Remember.
I loved this little slice. I could see it all so clearly. It sounds like a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteIt was a wonderful day! Thank you.
DeleteI love your words, "boots shushing" and "All to meet with poets, drenched in line breaks." Delightful! Now I want to know who the poets were that you met.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Ramona. I think those words came because I'd spent a few hours reading and talking about poems. The poets were just regular people who love words - like me and you.
DeleteBeautiful poem for a lovely rainy day.
